I’m joined this week by Mark Barnes, creator of HackLearning.org. As a longtime educator, Mark is passionate about transforming education, both in traditional classrooms and online course communities.
When Mark found that his by-the-book style wasn’t having the impact he wanted on his middle school and high school classrooms, he set out to find a different approach. What he’s found are a new set of habits and strategies—”hacks”—that improve communication, efficiency, and trust in the classroom.
Mark’s here to share his perspective on the role of educators, his advice for cultivating bonds with your students, and some of his favorite tools for running a classroom. Mark’s wisdom isn’t just for conventional teachers, either—whether you run an online course, a blog, or a small business, there’s something here for you to learn.
As a course creator, business owner, and parent to a school-age kiddo, I was so grateful to hear Mark’s take on how we can start hacking education. I can’t wait for you to hear this interview, too!
Thanks for Listening!
