Three suspected fake beggars were arrested by the River Niger
bank by police detectives at the A division Police Station Asaba, Delta
State.
The beggars were said to be trying to extort money from unsuspecting
members of the public under the guise of being blind.
The suspects, who are currently in the police cell helping with
further investigation, were nabbed after the police got a tip-off about
their illicit activities.
According to the acting police public relations officer in the state,
ASP Preston Roland bundles of money of different denominations were
recovered from the suspects.
