It’s Time to Take on AI and Here’s Why

[ad_1]

Elon Musk, the closest thing this world has to an evil corporate genius, is spending near a billion dollars to stop the advance of A.I. He’s not the only influential person warning the world of a future “Skynet” takeover. You’ve got Stephen Hawking, Eric Schmidt, and even Bill Gates whose former company, Microsoft, is working on plenty of A.I. projects.

But I’m here to say to all of them #notallA.I. The A.I. I’m about to reference won’t ever be capable of turning your computer against you, boiling you with your smart thermostat, or calling the cops on you through your security system.

At least it couldn’t spontaneously do those things. Someone would have to program it to do those things.

A.I. for business is probably the most useful thing to come along since the invention of e-mail. So, let’s talk about why your online business should take on A.I.

1. More Customer Centric Search

Google has been using natural language processing in their search engine for years. Today, Google is so good at knowing what you’re going to search for that it completes your sentences. Google is essentially one massive bot that “reads” your mind.

What if you could bring even a fraction of that power to your own business’ online search? Twiggle has found a way to do that for e-commerce businesses.

The bot uses natural language processing similar to the technology found in Google’s search engine. It narrows down and contextualizes search results for you customers so they find what they’re looking for faster.

2. Improve Your Website With AI

There are hundreds of WordPress plugins out there. And most people only use a handful.

But what if you could plug something into your website that could (almost) think for itself? What could it do?

It could continually monitor your SEO and improve your schema markup and at the same time improve indexability. It would save you a ton of time.

And it exists today. WordLift can actually increase traffic, conversion rates, and page views just by monitoring your site.

3. Follow Up With Leads Without Wasting Time

Sales teams fail to follow up with about 33% of all leads. That’s a massive marketing fail. And even when they do follow up, half those leads are a waste of time anyway.

Why are you paying people to fail at something when a bot could do it more efficiently for cheaper. What if you could feed all of your customer data into a computer and then have that computer reach out to real leads?

That’s how a business could potentially use AI. They could cut down on waste and bring in more customers at the same time.

Conclusion: Be Prepared

Get ready for the machine takeover, people. It’s going to be more interesting and wonderful than we could have ever dreamed.

Sure, it’s happening slowly around us. Right now, only 15% of enterprises are even using A.I. but that number is slated to double in the next year. As we find more uses for machine learning, our jobs are going to become much easier.
